French and Czech poets, writers and academics worked together on this book featuring in-depth studies of Czech engraver and poet Bohuslav Reynek’s work. The mostly unpublished texts, ranging from simple testimony or recollections to essays and criticism, shed light on aspects of art nurtured by things of the spirit and on a man attractive because of the clarity of his convictions. Reynek’s work, a cultural bridge between the Czech lands and France, embodies the unity to which our contemporaries aspire.
